Marvin "Marv" Greiber, age 63, of Waunakee passed away peacefully on Sat., Nov. 29, 2014 surrounded by his wife and children after a month's diagnosis with liver cancer. He was born on April 30, 1951 to Leo and Josephine (Maly) Greiber. He married Karen Ann Acker on Oct. 24, 1987. Marv attended St. John's Catholic School and graduated from Waunakee High School in 1969. He and his family owned and operated Greiber Heating and Sheet Metal, Inc., for over 50 years. He was a member of St. John's Parish and served on the cemetery board, parish council and was a member of theWaunakee/Westport Knights of Columbus and Tri County Assembly 1948 Council 4th degree. He was past president of Waunafest.

Marv was an avid sports fan following his children's activities including; football, volleyball and hockey. His favorite teams were the Warriors, Blue Devils, Badgers and Packers. He enjoyed playing sheepshead and other card games.

Marv's pride and joy was watching his three children succeed in life as hard working individuals who learned the value of a dollar from their dad and that giving back to the community is important.

Survivors include Marv's loving wife, Karen; two daughters, Ashley (Justin Ballweg) and Bridget; and one son, Devon; grandpuppy, Maverick; his sisters; Jean Virnig and Sandra Greiber; brothers and sisters -in-law, Jim and Letty Acker, Bob and Beverly Acker, Gary and Shelia Acker, Anita Allison, Alan Acker, and LuAnn and Steve Chandler; thirteen nieces and nephews; nine grandnieces and nephews; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He held a special place in his heart for Ben, Sandra, Lydia, Gracie and Mitchell Meinholz.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Betty and Wayne; and his in-laws Albert and Lorraine Acker, Ron Virnig and Ken Allison.

Funeral services will be held on Wed., Dec. 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St John's Catholic Church, 209 South St., Waunakee. Msgr. James Gunn will officiate. Friends may call at the church on Tues., Dec. 2, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friends may also call at the church on Wed. from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers memorials will be determined by the family at a later date.
