Mark Kunz Jr.

Sun Prairie - Mark W. Kunz Jr., age 35, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2017, at his home after a long battle with addiction. He was born on December 7, 1981, in Madison, the son of Mark Sr. and Patsy (Hardy) Kunz.

Mark will forever be remembered by his parents, Mark and Patsy Kunz; sister, Denise Kunz, sons, Cyrus and Cavyn Winter, long-term partner, Carol Winter and her daughter, Caylee Kmiec. Mark will also be remembered by his many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins, extended family and dear friends. Mark was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Alice and Gordon Hardy; paternal grandparents, May and Bill Kunz.

Mark had many interests which included cooking elaborate meals for his family. He also enjoyed watching sports, especially attending Packer games at Lambeau Field or watching the game on tv with his dad. He had enjoyed fishing either in a small pond or out on Lake Michigan with family and friends. But above all his two boys were the joy and light of his life. In the past years much of his time was spent being a father and making lifelong memories with them. Some of the activities he enjoyed most with the boys was taking them to the zoo, decorating the house for the holidays and going to the park because the boys could never have enough time at the park. Mark enjoyed spending time with Carol and the boys as well as family and friends whenever possible. He was always there to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. Above all his family and friends will forever miss him and we will always hold tight to the memories of him that were made during a life cut too short.

A funeral service will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie, on Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Rock Church Cemetery in Livingston, WI.
