Marjorie L. Snyder

Marjorie L. Snyder, 88, passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at UW Hospital, Madison. Marge was born on July 19, 1935, in Joliet, Illinois to parents Harry and Lucy (Schinn) Weinberger. She was one of fifteen children.

The family came to Wisconsin soon after and moved to many small towns before settling in Fall River, Wisconsin. She went to many different schools. She met Eugene Snyder in 1951 and married in 1952. They had 6 children, Dennis, Rick, Larry, Vicki, Brian, Marjorie Jr.

They had 37 and a half years together. Together they owned Snyder’s Floor Covering for 30 years, with Gene’s parents, George, and Alice. In Gene’s passing, Marge worked at Prairie Diner and then Evora Lodge in food service until retiring. She then babysat her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and baked cookies to keep the cookie jar full for the family.

She was a Charter member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, and over 60 years as an Eastern Star member. She met Gary Feuling in 1999 and married in 2001. They had 19 years together.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband Gene, parents, sisters, brothers, in-laws, and second husband Gary. She is survived by sisters, Helen, and Patsy; brothers, Jack, Dan, and Bob; children, Dennis (Mary), Rick (Patty), Larry (Sandi), Vicki (Jeff) Czarnezki, Brian (Laura), Marjorie Jr. (Steve Smith) Snyder; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She and Gene were blessed with a wonderful family and want to thank them for being there for her through the years.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 550 Lincoln Drive, Sun Prairie. A visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Sun Prairie Memory Gardens. A luncheon will follow.
