Marjorie Schiro

Madison-Marjorie (Drives) Schiro, age 92, passed away peacefully on Feb. 15, 2015, with her loving family by her side. She was born on Sept. 15, 1922, to Alex and Grace (Wells) Drives. On February 28, 1942, Marge married the love of her life, Frank J. Schiro. Marge was a life long advocate of women's rights and health; over her career she helped and touched the lives of women of all ages. Marge was a wonderful, kind and generous women who took great pleasure in participating in her family's lives. Her passion for cooking combined with her love of life and great stories kept her home filled with family and friends throughout the years. Marge was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Frank; brothers, Richard and Robert (Dorothy) Drives; sisters, Janet (Joe) Demerath and Lois (Clayton) Sherman. She is survived by her children, Joseph Schiro, Karen (Jack) McGuire, Bob (Debbie) Schiro, Carla (Patrick McGill) Schiro, and Cathy (Bill) Cross; grandchildren, Frank (Sayhra) Schiro, Melissa McGuire, R.J. (K) Schiro, Lisa (Jason) Jacome, Shawn (Beth) McGuire, Molly (Nate) Mack, Theresa (Jerry) Raffel, Deidre (Matt) Gavinski, Derek (Heather) Gordon; and 24 great grandchildren, Sophia, Dante, Carlito, Francesco, Sal, Christopher, Nina, Francesca, Samantha, Atley, Addison, Parker, Presley, Liam, Ella Rose, Myles, Jake, Darby, Travis, Logan, Cashton, Camden, Lincoln and London. She is further survived by her in-laws, Mary Bull, George Schiro, Audrey Yost and numerous loving nieces, nephews and friends. Memorial services will be held at 11:00am, Wed. Feb. 18, 2015, Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison, WI 53705. Family and friends may call from 10am to 11am until time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Good night, we love you.
