Marjorie Raymond

December 11, 1926 — April 1, 2025

Madison

Marjorie Raymond died at the age of 98 at St. Mary’s Hospital. She had been suffering from worsening health, but she lived in the home she loved with the help of a wonderful team of caregivers, as well as generous neighbors and relatives.

Marge was born in Edgerton. She grew up during the Depression, which instilled a life-long habit of frugality. Playing the clarinet in high school fostered her love of music. Throughout her life she enjoyed playing bridge and reading. She was a longtime member of Queen of Peace Church.

While studying accounting at UW, Marge met Jack Raymond when a classmate noticed an Edgerton logo on her pencil, and they were married shortly after graduation. The couple raised three children, John, Richard and Linda. Their four grandchildren are Max, Holly, Jennifer and Aaron, and they have five great-grandchildren; Balthazar, Eulalie, Cynthia, Nathaniel and Valerie.

After retirement, Jack and Marge travelled around the world to destinations including Russia, India and Hong Kong. As Jack’s health worsened, Marge cared for him until his death. Her adventurous spirit continued, however, and she rode on an ultralight airplane and on a zipline in her nineties.

“Aunt Marge” is fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews in the Barron, Price and Raymond families, along with their children and grandchildren.
