Marjorie Eddington

Madison - Marjorie Ordemann Eddington, age 89, passed away on March 11, 2014 at Oak Park Place, Madison, Wisconsin. She was born on January 13, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Frederick and Elenorora (Wanninger) Ordemann. Marge married Robert J. Eddington on November 22, 1947. Marge was a long time member of Queen of Peace parish in Madison, Wisconsin. She enjoyed playing bridge, bowling, genealogy, and volunteering for Madison Area Association for Retarded Citizens (MARC). Marge is survived by her seven children: Sharon Eddington of Wausau, Wisconsin; Sally (Chuck) Brys of Green Bay, Wisconsin; Stephen (Sheri) Eddington of McFarland, Wisconsin; Peter (Susie) Eddington of Mount Horeb, Wisconsin; Maryanne (Tim) Michaelis of Madison, Wisconsin; Julie (Ben Krueger) Eddington of Roseville, Minnesota; and Rob Eddington of Madison, Wisconsin. Marge is also survived by 12 grandchildren: Michelle (Eric) Sampson; Marnie (Jeremy) Futch; Marta (Aris) Gialamas; Matt (Abby) Eddington; Emily (Dilon) Mason; Jenna (Eric) Vondra; Janel (Ted) Schneller; Tom Eddington; Alexander Krueger; Samuel Krueger; Christopher (Kim) Jacobson; and Vicky (Ben) Weiland. Marge has 14 great grandchildren and is further survived by numerous sisters- and brothers-in-law. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Eddington, who died on December 5, 1997, and her brothers, Frederick Ordemann and Robert Ordemann. Our family would like to thank the staff of Oak Park Place and Agrace Hospice for the care and support they provided. A wake will be held on Friday, March 14, 2014, at Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison, between 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2014, at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 401 South Owen Drive, Madison, with Monsignor James Uppena presiding. Friends may gather to greet the family from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
