Marion “Hank” Thompson

Hank was born in Shepherd, Texas in 1936. He joined the Air Force and was stationed in Madison, WI between 1957- 1960. In 1976, he completed his private pilot’s course at Four Lakes Aviation School and had developed a great passion for flying. In 1996, he retired from the United States Postal Service as a rural route carrier after 22 years.

He is preceded in death by his daughter Mary Suchomel and grandson Nicholas Thompson. He is survived by his wife Irene; children David and Daniel of Waunakee, William of Madison and daughter Kim Thomas of Pardeeville and a grandson Mitchell Walz of Florida.

Hank’s love was gardening, and he was known for the vegetables he sold off his vegetable cart yearly. Hank will be greatly missed by his family.
