Marion Doherty

MADISON - Marion E. Doherty, age 96, passed away on Thursday November 13, 2014 at St. Mary's Care Center in Madison. She was born September 3, 1918 in Springdale, WI. She is a graduate of Madison East High School. She married Frederick Doherty July 29, 1939 in McGregor, Iowa. Marion was a dedicated homemaker, and also was a part time school crossing guard for a number of years. She is a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Marion enjoyed reading, traveling and her family.
Marion is survived by her daughter Diane M. (Anthony) Fiore, son Mark E. (Linda) Doherty, and daughter Kathleen A. Perez, 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Frederick, a sister, a brother and a grandson.
A private graveside service will be held at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
