Marion E. DeCremer (88) passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 19 at the Sebring Assisted Living Residence. Â She was surrounded by family including her son John and wife Phyllis, daughters-in-law Kristin and Gwyn, grandchildren James, Kirk, and Meghan and great-granddaughter Isla. Marion is further survived by grandchildren: Maeve, James III and Maryn.
She was preceded in death by a son, James (2004); husband, Clarence (2005); sister, Juliette and brother, Harris.
Marion had been suffering from Parkinson's Disease, spinal stenosis and other age related conditions and had been confined to a wheelchair since 2006. Â She accepted her situation with dignity and was well liked by everyone who knew her. Â In spite of it all she was able to display a great sense of humor and positive attitude. Â
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 am on Thursday, September 30th at Bethel Lutheran Church, 312 Wisconsin Ave., Madison. Â A visitation will be at church beginning at 10:30 am. A luncheon will follow the service. Â Marion's remains will be joined with her husband, Lt. Col. Clarence ""Deke"" DeCremer at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove, WI at a later date.Â
