Marion E. DeCremer

Marion E. DeCremer (88) passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 19 at the Sebring Assisted Living Residence.  She was surrounded by family including her son John and wife Phyllis, daughters-in-law Kristin and Gwyn, grandchildren James, Kirk, and Meghan and great-granddaughter Isla. Marion is further survived by grandchildren: Maeve, James III and Maryn.

She was preceded in death by a son, James (2004); husband, Clarence (2005); sister, Juliette and brother, Harris.

Marion had been suffering from Parkinson's Disease, spinal stenosis and other age related conditions and had been confined to a wheelchair since 2006.  She accepted her situation with dignity and was well liked by everyone who knew her.  In spite of it all she was able to display a great sense of humor and positive attitude.  

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 am on Thursday, September 30th at Bethel Lutheran Church, 312 Wisconsin Ave., Madison.  A visitation will be at church beginning at 10:30 am. A luncheon will follow the service.  Marion's remains will be joined with her husband, Lt. Col. Clarence ""Deke"" DeCremer at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove, WI at a later date.
