Marion Corcoran

August 29, 1927 — December 12, 2014

Madison - Marion F. Corcoran passed away in her sleep on Friday, December 12, 2014. She was born August 29, 1927 to J. Otis and Ruth (Myrick) Fuller in Rhode Island.

She grew up in Mattapoisett, Massachusetts and later went into nursing. She moved to Madison WI to work for the V.A. Hospital. She married Donald "Doc" Corcoran. Together they had two boys Bruce and Lawrence "Lary". After 30 years at the V.A. where she was known as "Cork" or "Corky" she retired. She was a Volunteer Brailist, she taught Lampshade Class at MATC, she was a member of The Organ and Garden Clubs and the Sewing Guild.

She is survived by her son, Lary; and Bruce's daughter, Erin; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Bruce; parents; brother, Ralph; sisters, Jeanette Holloway, Francis Fuller, and Louise Swift; and her ex-husband, Doc.

A Celebration of Marion's Life will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2014 from 12 Noon until 4 pm at the Elks Club, 711 Jenifer St., Madison.
