Marion Brophy

Madison: Marion F Brophy, age 96, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 17, 2015, at Oakwood Village - Hebron Oaks, Madison WI. Her death was caused by final heart failure.
She was born April 7, 1918, in Milwaukee, WI, to Otto and Augusta Metzger. She moved to Port Washington, WI, with her parents for her last semester of high school in 1936. After graduation she attended secretarial school and went to work as the personal secretary to the E.W. Allen of Allen Edmunds Shoe Co. This is where she met, fell in love and married Bert Allen on 8/13/1939, in Fox Point, WI. They had three children, Jon Allen of (Pheonix, AZ/Port Washington, WI), James Allen (Connie) (Middleton, WI) and Barbara Allen (Madison, WI).
She was preceded in death by her three husbands, Bert Allen , Walter Haase and Frank Brophy. Her older brother, Gil Metzger also preceded her in death.
A memorial service will be held at 6pm, Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at The First Congregational Church, 131 N Webster St, Port Washington WI. Visitation with family will begin at 4:30pm.
A private burial will be held at Wisconsin Memorial Park earlier in the day.
