Marion Anderson

Marion Anderson of Madison died at Oakwood West in her 88th year on Thursday, December 17, 2009.   Marion was born in Milwaukee and moved to Madison after retirement from Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company where she worked for 43 years.   She was a member of Midvale Community Lutheran Church, and was also involved for many years with the Sons of Norway, Swedish Lodge, and other organizations.   She also loved to travel and enjoyed needleworking and quilting. Marion is survived by sister Carol (Rawlen) Bjork, Warba, MN; brothers Leslie (Dale) Anderson, Eugene, OR; and Al (Beatrice) Anderson of Madison.   She is also survived by nieces and nephews Tom, Dave (Dawn) and Bob Anderson; Kris (Darrell) Lehman; Scott Bjork; Karen (Steve) Talbott; Dr. Clint (Janet) and Kurt ( Beverly) Anderson; and Jeannie (Mark) Brickey, and   by grand-nieces and nephews.   She was preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo and Martha Anderson, and an infant sister Althea.   Per Marion's wishes, there will be a private family service.   Donations are suggested to a charity of one's choice if so desired.
