Marilynn Hildebrandt

Marshall - Marilynn Ann Hildebrandt, age 77, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on Tuesday, February 14, 2017, at her home in Marshall. She was born in Madison, Wisconsin on January 2, 1940, the daughter of Orvel and Jessie (Eaton) Moen. Marilynn went to school in Marshall until her nurturing and homemaking skills were needed at home with her siblings. Her favorite things in life included: reading, cooking, puzzles, listening to music - specifically Elvis Presley, daytime soap operas, driving on short distance road trips, watching football, and watching her family grow. Marilynn so loved the world, that she gave it six children and they became her life's work.

She is survived by her children, Alan (Laura) Hildebrandt, Sharon Hildebrandt, Larry (Rebecca) Hildebrandt, Scott (Becky) Hildebrandt, Lynn (David) Renz, and Mary (Luke) Siebert; her grandchildren, Jason Mick, Jeffery Mick, Lance (Mandy) Hildebrandt, Lane "Bubba" (Chelsea) Hildebrandt, Nicole Hildebrandt, Jennifer Renz, Elizabeth Renz, Landon Hildebrandt, Violet Siebert, and Rudiger Siebert; great-grandchildren, Blain Mick and Austin Mick; and siblings, Esther Kvale, James (Judy) Moen, Rose (Ron) Kiesow, Kenneth (Marilyn) Moen, Jack (Alice) Moen, Kathy (Red) Jaggers; and her ever-present companion, Buddy the Chihuahua.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Orvel and Jessie Moen; husband, Dale Hildebrandt; partner Lloyd Yelk; infant brother, Johnny Moen; brother-in-law, Don Kvale; and grandson, Michael Mick.

A funeral service will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie, on Friday, February 17, 2017, at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Cottage Grove. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 am until the time of service.
