Marilyn R. Owen passed away Tuesday, February 10th at 96 years of age in Waunakee, WI. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Fred V. Owen and grandson Steven. She is survived by her loving children: sons Bruce (Linda), Brian (Sandy) and David (Jeaneane); daughters Debra Janke, Karin Acree (Tony), and Laura Mbow (Mathiam); grandchildren Dave, Elizabeth, Gregory, Kurt, JoLyn, Ethan, Nathan, Trevor, Kit, Matthias, and Cherif; and great-grandchildren Alexander, Sammy, Gloria, Nyx, Izzy, Mo, Kardell, Calen, Lola, Leo, Ezra, Myles, Zara, Kaiser, Harrison and Francis. She began her career as a teacher in a one-room schoolhouse about 10 miles outside of Dowagiac, MI and worked with children throughout her life. She was a voracious reader, loved playing cards with friends and family, attending grandchildren’s sporting events, and interior decorating. A Celebration of Life will be held at a private residence in Middleton, WI on Sunday, March 15th.
