Marilyn Hoag, 82, died July 30, 2014 at her home at Oakwood Village University Woods in Madison.
Marilyn was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on March 5, 1932. She graduated from Rufus King High School, where she found the violin and orchestra to be her center of interest. Marilyn met Lane Hoag in her senior year, and they were married on May 3, 1952.
Over the years, she worked in a variety of offices at construction and realty firms, the Pupil Personnel/Truancy Office of the Racine School District, for an attorney in Mukwonago, and as an Executive Secretary at Milwaukee Cheese. Before retiring, Marilyn worked for the President/Owner of a Food Brokerage company in Brookfield, where she became an account representative for several brands including Eggo Waffles and Old Orchard Juice.
Marilyn loved the outdoors, reading, bowling and golf, and working in the grocery store at Oakwood for 7 years. She and Lane enjoyed traveling, camping, and boating together, and time spent with good friends.
Her family was the center of her life. She and her husband were married 62 years. They had 3 children, Kevin (Chris), Randy (Sharee), and Kristi (Loren); 8 grandchildren, Erin, Bethany, Adam, Darrick, Amy, Cory, Kayla, and Ashley; and 2 great-grandchildren, Musa and Safia.
Marilyn enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest!
