Marilyn Louise Heinz

Marilyn Louise (Literski) Heinz, age 66, of Trempealeau WI passed away on January 16th, 2026 at St Mary's Hospital in Madison, WI. She was born on May 18th, 1959 at St Francis Medical Center in LaCrosse, WI to Joe & Aggie (Henrich) Literski. She graduated from Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau High School in 1978.

On October 25th, 1980, she married Mark Heinz. They raised 2 daughters, Jaime & Jodi, in Trempealeau, WI. Marilyn loved life and could not sit still. She could always be found doing the things she loved most in life, whether it was camping, hiking, cheering on the Green Bay Packers, creating crafts or just spending time with her family. She, along with 5 of her friends, were founding members of the Gather Everyone Together Thanksgiving Dinner. Her kindness, generosity and thoughtfulness touched so many hearts.

Marilyn is survived by her husband of 45 years, Mark, her daughters Jaime (Kyle) Brawner and Jodi (Dave) Lechelt, her elite eight: Walter, Simon, Brynn, Brielle, Bridgette, Stanley, Evelyn & Beckett. She is further survived by her siblings Louie (Rhonda) Literski, Mike (Christine) Literski, Peggy (Tom) Daley and Katie (Aaron) Lehrke and her in-laws Karen (Chuck) Black, David Benrud, Greg (Judy) Heinz and Karla (John) Leavitt, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, Joe & Aggie Literski, her in-laws Wilbert & Georgine Heinz and Jim Leavitt and her sister in law, Kaye Benrud.

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 11th from Noon-3pm at Mt Calvary Lutheran Church in Trempealeau. In honor of Marilyn, wear your flip flops!
