Stoughton - Marie Eileen Outhouse departed this life on May 27th, 2015 to be with our lord. She grew up in Knightsville, Indiana in the home she was born in, July 17th, 1919. John and Neva Kretschmer's only child. She was very proud of being a Government Inspector in Indianapolis, Indiana during World War II where she met and married Raymond Outhouse. Moving to Wisconsin and together had 4 children while starting and establishing Outhouse Truck Sales. She loved her family deeply and gardening was mom's passion. She was always up for a good debate and anyone was fair game! Acquaintances became lifelong friends. In her last years she loved watching and feeding wildlife including a doe she named Becky. She had a huge heart and perhaps that's why it was broken. She lived well beyond what we were told to expect. But for those who knew her, knew she never did what was expected! We were fortunate to be able to keep her at home, thanks to the loving care of family, especially Rana who was devoted to her well being.
She is survived by children Jan Outhouse (Rick Gloe), David Outhouse, Rana Campbell, and Jackie Cooley (Rick). She was grandmother to Billy Joe Boettcher (Kaia), Lucas Boettcher (Deb), Angela Roberts (Shane), Tim Chaney (Beverly), Cheyenne Cooley (David) and great grandmother to Shianne, Annabelle, William, Cassidy, Shane, Brooke, Olivia and Emma.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray Outhouse and grandson David Cooley. If it were love that could keep the breath alive, the heart beating and warmth in bodies then our loved ones would surely still be with us.
