Marian Rambo

Stoughton - Marian Seamonson Rambo, age 90, passed away on Sunday April 24, 2016 at Agrace HospiceCare. She was born on February 14, 1926 in Stoughton, WI, the daughter of Martin and Laura (Olson) Seamonson. She married Arlen Rambo on April 24, 1949 in Stoughton.

Marian was a lifetime resident of the Stoughton community. Through a grant from the U.S. Cadet Nurse Corp., Marian earned her degree in nursing from Madison General Hospital. Marian worked at Stoughton Hospital as a Surgical RN for 41 years until her retirement in 1988. She was a very active member of Covenant Lutheran Church (numerous committees including the kitchen remodel), Hospital Auxiliary, past president of POSH Group at Stoughton Hospital, past president of the Country Club Auxiliary, and past president of AORN. She loved to play cards with her friends and was an avid Badgers, Packers, and Brewers fan.

She is survived by four children, Larry (Kathi), Dennis (Janice), Lori (John) Faber, and Jeffrey (Lisa); eight grandchildren, Johnathan, Ryan, Eric, Alex (Molly), Lindsay, Allison, Sarah, and Jenna; one great granddaughter, Lexi; sister, Lois Rothen; brother, Jim (Joyce) Seamonson.

Marian was preceded in death by her husband Arlen Rambo; parents; sister, Audrey (Richard) Quam.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Covenant Lutheran Church, 1525 N Van Buren St, Stoughton, with Rev. Mark Petersen presiding. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service on Tuesday. Marian will be laid to rest next to her husband Arlen at Lutheran Cemetery South. Family and friends are invited to a luncheon following the burial, in the church fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Covenant Lutheran Church or the Stoughton Hospital Foundation.
