Marian Heisig

Madison - Marian Ethel Heisig, age 93, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2017, at Chamomile Assisted Living in Madison. She was born on December 28, 1923, in the Town of Burke, Wisconsin, the daughter of Edward and Mabel (Kittleson) Bork. Marian was united in marriage to Lawrence Heisig on April 7, 1945, at Burke Lutheran Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandkids. Marian was well-known for her lefse making for Burke Lutheran and volunteered a lot of time at the church.

She is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Ray) Wagner and Sandra (Rick) Brandon; grandchildren, Michael (Krissy) Wagner, Adam (Molly) Wagner, Janette Wagner, Amanda Smith, Ryan (Carie) Brandon, and Jim Brandon (Laura Byrne); great-grandchildren, Mila, Chase, Natalie, Anders, and Mason; brother, Don (Karen) Bork; sister-in-law, Rita Bork; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Marian was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brother, Vernon Bork; and sisters, Adell Degenhardt, Doris Wolff, and Rachel Christianson.

A funeral service will be held at BURKE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5720 Portage Rd., Madison, on Monday, January 16, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Robert Neubert presiding. A visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of the service. Burial will follow at Burke Lutheran Cemetery.
