Maria Agres-Segal

Madison - Maria N. Agres-Segal, age 86, died February 16, 2015. Maria was born on November 24, 1928 in Zarudeczko, Poland. She attended medical school in Poznan, Poland graduating with a medical degree in Industrial and Preventive Medicine in 1959. In 1972 she moved to Madison, Wisconsin with her husband Paul and spent her remaining years in her adopted country. Maria was a devout Christian who read scripture daily and could recite many passages from memory.

She is survived by two sisters, Stanislawa Agres-Vetulani of Poland and Vladaslawa Bealovich of Poland. Maria greatly appreciated the care provided by the physicians at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics and the staff at Senior Helpers.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 11a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Msgr. Ken Fiedler presiding. Maria will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery following Mass.
