Margaret Wilson

MADISON - Margaret (Peg) Wilson, age 91, formerly of Wyckoff and Franklin Lakes, N.J., and Pinehurst, N.C., passed away on February 5, 2015 at Oakwood Village University Woods in Madison, WI where she resided for the past four years.

Peg was born on June 6, 1923, in Paterson, N.J., and was the daughter of Martha (Ainley) and William H. Hill. She married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, William (Bill) Russell Wilson on October 10, 1941. After Bill returned from WWII, they settled in Wyckoff, N.J. She was a homemaker, an organizer, an excellent cook, a bird lover and devoted cat owner.

Peg worked in insurance and as a legal secretary for Dwyer & Dwyer Law Offices in Ridgewood, N.J. before she joined Bill in opening the Wilson Real Estate office in Wyckoff, N.J. She was also secretary of the Wyckoff Chamber of Commerce. She and Bill enjoyed entertaining, playing golf and exploring New England and the east coast. They collected music boxes and enjoyed participating in Music Box Society gatherings. For many years they owned a condo on Hilton Head Island and spent happy months throughout those years with friends exploring the Island, swimming, walking the beaches, and playing golf. They were also actively involved in the condo's Board. After Bill and Peg retired, they moved to Pinehurst, N.C. and built their dream house. In Pinehurst, Peg volunteered for many years at the Visitors Center.

Peg is survived by her daughter Barbara (Michael) Streibel and her grandson Theo (Megan Farley) Streibel. She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly fifty years, Bill Wilson.
