Margaret (Peg) Spence Stadtmueller
Peg succumbed to heart related issues on the morning of May 23, 2017.
She was born on May 12, 1930 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter of George and Marge Spence. She was united in marriage to John Stadtmueller on July 7, 1962 at Gesu Church in Milwaukee. She did undergraduate and graduate work at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and, upon earning her teaching degree, taught special needs students for 12 years and helped train others to quality as teachers of special needs students. She later taught primary students at Our Lady Queen of Peace School in Madison for 16 years. She will be sadly missed by her son Mark of Madison, Wisconsin, her son Scott (Cynthia) of Springfield, Virginia, her beloved granddaughter Cora, her sister-in-law Joanne Haller of West Bend, Wisconsin, and her many nieces and nephews. Peg was proceeded in death by her parents and her husband, John. Peg was a Civil War buff and loved children, dogs, and gardens. Her deep faith sustained her during the difficult times in her life. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at OUR LADY QUEEN OF PEACE CATHLIC CHURCH, 401 S. Owen Dr. Madison, with Msgr. Ken Fiedler presiding. The Mass will be preceded by a gathering of friends and family from 10:00 am until the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Our Lady Queen of Peace School Endowment Fund.
