Margaret C. Spahr

Margaret “Maggie” Spahr (Berg), 87, of Madison, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026, surrounded by family.

Maggie grew up in Barron, Wisconsin, the daughter of Fanny and Gust Berg, and sister to Dolores. She was married in 1964 to John “Jack” Spahr until his passing in 2010.

She is survived by her children, Karen Spahr, Nancy (Scott) Kimsey, and Rachel (Mark) Chapman; and her grandchildren, Rockford “Rocky” Kimsey, Roland Kimsey, and Orion Chapman. She is also remembered fondly by her nieces and nephews and several close friends.

Maggie enjoyed sewing, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. She was caring, kind, and always willing to lend a helping hand.

Visitation will be held at Cress Funeral Home, 3325 E. Washington Ave., Madison, on Friday, April 17, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens
