Margaret Snyder

Margaret L. "Lorraine" Snyder passed away on Sunday August 12, 2012 at her residence at Wynwood in Madison, WI. Funeral services will be held at Epiphany Lutheran Church in Elmhurst IL on Monday September 17 at 11 a.m. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to The American Red Cross or Midvale Community Lutheran Church Parish Nurse Program, Madison, WI. Lorraine was born July 19, 1924 in Chicago, the daughter of Anton and Anna Swanson. She married Richard Snyder in Chicago on February 16, 1946. He preceded her in death.
Surviving are two sons, Richard Snyder Jr. and wife Lorraine of Madison WI, Lawrence Snyder and wife Carol of Delafield, WI; and one daughter, Karen Heller and husband Dan of Bloomington, IL. Also surviving are her 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren: Mindy (Steve) Montanio and sons Charlie and Patrick ; Joel (Jessie) Snyder and daughter Jolene ; Callie Snyder; Margo Snyder; Neil Heller and Adam (Jaclyn) Heller. Also surviving is her sister Joan Olson of Arlington Hts, IL and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her sister Ellen Filson. A special thank you to her neighbors Roger and Nancy Wiebe, and to the staff at Wynwood who were of great help over the years. She will be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, wife and mother who cherished her family.
