Margaret "Peg" Schaben, age 82, died in Kissimmee, Florida on August 1, 2013. Peg fought a 50 year battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
Born September 12, 1930 in St. Mary, Missouri, daughter to Henry and Lolita Lorch. Peg lived in Washington, D.C., Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, Chicago, Illinois, Merritt Island and Kissimmee, Florida. Peg worked in the Fingerprint Division of the F.B.I., served a brief time in the U.S. Navy, was an Author, a Homemaker and she raised 6 children. Peg was also a member of the Sun Prairie School Board and active in the local MS Society.
She is survived by her children, Tim (Suzanne) Schaben of Kissimmee, Florida, Laura (Terry) Rettke of Eagan, Minnesota, Robin (Stan) Schultz of Madison, Wisconsin, Greg Schaben of Middleton, Wisconsin, Eve (Aidan) Dwyer of Kissimmee, Florida, and Beth (Mike) Jansen of Indianapolis, Indiana, her 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sister Molly Lorch of Chicago, Illinois.Peg was preceded in death by Robert "Bob" Schaben, her husband of 45 years.
A memorial gathering is planned for November 29, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Cress Funeral Home, 1310 Emerald Terrace in Sun Prairie. Relatives and friends are invited to come and share their stories and memories of Peg.
