Madison- Margaret (Marge) LaBrosse, age 98, passed on Sunday, November 27, 2016. Born June 12, 1918 in Madison, she was the oldest daughter of Earl and Elizabeth Royston. She was married to John LaBrosse for 49 years.
Marge worked at UW Hospital, UW Chemistry department and the Wis. Department of Revenue. She also volunteered for Red Cross, RSVP, St. Mary's Care Center, during elections and at local libraries. She was named a Rotary Club Volunteer of the Year because of her many contributions.
Marge is survived by her 3 daughters, Judy LaBrosse (Don Balbach), Jackie LaBrosse, and Deb (Eric) Uram; special daughter, Sandy (Armand) Moll; siblings, Mike (Carol) Royston and Anne (John) Murtha; 4 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Ray Genin and many, many nieces and nephews.
Marge was preceded in death by her husband; sister, Marian Genin; brother, Cornelius "Tex" Royston and six half-siblings.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. THOMAS AQUINAS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 602 Everglade Dr., Madison on Friday, December 2, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. with Father Timmerman presiding. Luncheon at the church follows the service. Entombment will then follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. Friday until the time of Mass.
Because of Marge's love of animals, gifts to Dane County Humane Society are requested.
