Margaret Dora Colby

Sun Prairie/Windsor- Margaret D. Colby, age 87, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at the Willows Nursing & Rehab. Center, Sun Prairie.  She was born on April 29, 1921, in DeForest the daughter of Benjamin & Hilda (Nelson) Vedvik.  Margaret was united in marriage to Kenneth Colby on August 10, 1947 in DeForest and they enjoyed over 56 years on marriage until his death on February 7, 2004.  Mrs. Colby was a lifelong resident of the area.   She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Madison.  In her spare time she enjoyed bingo and doing crossword puzzles.  Survivors include her children, Larry (Jane Becker) Churchill, Endeavor, Linda (John) Riek, Sun Prairie, Jerome (Carol) Churchill, Windsor, Francis ""Frank"" Churchill, Madison, Douglas (Susan) Colby, Poynette and Diane (Ronald) Bebout, Colona, IL; 17 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Besides her husband Kenneth she was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Churchill, brothers, James, Nelson, Jerome and Sidney, and sister, Henrietta Anderson.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 14, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cress Funeral Home Chapel, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie, WI with Rev.
