Marcella Sayles

SUN PRAIRIE - Marcella Mae "Sally" Kottke Sayles, 91, passed away on February 4, 2022, in Madison. She was born on September 23, 1930, on a farm in Newton Township, Marquette County.

Marcella graduated from Westfield High School in 1949. She worked as a waitress at Cleveland’s Lunch and later worked for Madison Dental Company. She married Ben Sayles on November 2, 1951, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Madison. They lived in Madison for 30 years and then moved to Sun Prairie in 1990. She enjoyed flowers and going fishing.

She is survived by her sons, Greg (Lori) Sayles of Endeavor; Keith, of Sun Prairie; and Bruce (Heidi) of Madison; grandchildren, Jessica (Jon) Newton, Ashley (Peter) and Samantha (Steve) Sayles; great-grandchildren, Devin, Jaxten, Aaron, and Elizabeth; sisters, Darlene Warp of Arkdale, and Virginia Krueger of Merrill. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben.

Funeral services will be held at Cress Funeral Home, 3325 East Washington Avenue, Madison on Thursday, February 10, 2022, at 11:00 AM. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until time of service.
