Maralee Thomas

Stoughton - Maralee J. Thomas, age 72, passed away on January 6, 2016, at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. She was born on February 7, 1943 in Freeport, Illinois, the daughter of William and Olga Heid.

Maralee had lived in Stoughton since 1988, working for the State of Wisconsin Department of Administration until her retirement. She was a member of Stoughton United Methodist Church, for which she wrote liturgy and served as a long-time member of the prayer team.

She is survived by her two children, Joelle (David) Reedy and Daniel Thomas; by four sisters, Velda Schoenfeld, Joyce Keenan, Doris Busch and Bonnie Anderson; by two brothers, Galen Heid and Sheldon Heid; and by many extended family members.

Maralee was preceded in death by her parents, and by her sister, Linda.

Memorial services will be held at Stoughton United Methodist Church, 525 Lincoln Ave, Stoughton, on Saturday, January 23, 2015 at 1:00 p.m.
