Luverne D. Rosenbaum passed away on Wednesday February 7, 2018. She was born in Cedarburg, WI on May 24, 1924, the daughter of Arnold and Norma Dietrich. In 1947, she graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics and Education and a minor in chemistry, after which she became a teacher.
Luverne married William Rosenbaum August 27, 1949 in West Allis, WI, and celebrated 59 years of marriage in Madison. Luverne is survived by her daughter Sue and son Bill (Peggie) and grandchildren Alex and Callie. She was preceded in death by her husband William who passed away January 20, 2009.
Luverne was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Madison Wisconsin since 1953. She was a volunteer at Oakwood Village University Woods for over 20 years in the tea room and the food pantry. She enjoyed couples bridge club for many years with lifelong friends.
At Luverne's request, there will be no visitation. A family graveside burial service will be held in the spring at Forest Hill Cemetery, Madison Wisconsin.
