Lucille Meier

MADISON / NEW GLARUS- Lucille Maxine Meier went to be with our Lord on June 12th, 2016 at the age of 99.

Lucille was born on April 8 1917 in New Glarus WI as Lucille Maxine Klassy, the daughter of Bill and Pearl (Staley) Klassy.

Lucille graduated from New Glarus High School in 1935. She then went on to graduate from Madison Business College in 1938 and worked for USAFE during the WWII. She married Edward Meier in 1945 and settled in Madison.

She is survived by her two sons Roger (Yaling) and Douglas (Char) Meier, daughter-in-law Sherry Meier, 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Lucille was an artist; she enjoyed crafts, especially Rosemaling. Lucille will be greatly missed.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 17th at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Rd, Madison, WI at 3:30 p.m. A visitation will be held on Friday at the funeral home from 2:30 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.

To celebrate Lucille's wonderful life, the family invites you to an appetizer reception at Imperial Garden's, 5:00pm to 6:30 following the services.

Memorials may be made in Lucille's name to Ingelhaven Assisted Living Center; for resident activities and holiday entertainment.
