Sun Prairie - Louise E. Zielke, age 83, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at VA-Hospital, Madison. She was born on November 11, 1932 in Spokane, Washington, the daughter of George and Eleanor (Wren) St John Sr. Louise served in the Air Force from September of 1951 to Summer of 1959 as a Staff Sargeant Secretary. She worked at FDIC from 1972 to 1984 until her job closed. During her time in the Air Force she met the love of her life, Lynn Zielke and they were married on June 21, 1958. She was a faithful member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church and was a member of Rachael Circle. In her spare time Louise enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, Jeopardy, listening to quiz questions on the radio and her vast collection of music.
She is survived by a son, Mark Zielke; daughter, Karen Hansen, grandchildren, Tristan (Justine), Alta, Trevor "Frank", Andrew and Kiersten; a great granddaughter, Karis; a sister, Mary Louise Casamalhuapa and many other loving family and friends.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lynn Zielke, stepfather; Winchell Kalkas, a daughter, Donna, granddaughter, Jenna, and a brother, George St. John Jr.
Funeral services will be held at OUR SAVIOR'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 550 Lincoln Drive, Sun Prairie, on Friday, January 22, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Timothy Hansen officiating. Burial will follow at Sun Prairie Memory Gardens. A visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 12:00 noon until the time of service.
