Stoughton, WI – Louise Ilene Beckwith, age 95, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at Skaalen Home Assisted Living, a place she served and loved for many years.

Louise was born on February 7, 1930, in Blanchardville, Wisconsin, the daughter of Morris and Dora (Moe) Hermanson. She graduated from Blanchardville High School and later moved to Stoughton, where she became a beloved member of the community for over 60 years.

On May 22, 1951, Louise was united in marriage to Bernard Beckwith in their hometown of Blanchardville. Together they built a life centered on family and faith until Bernard’s passing on July 18, 2014.

Louise possessed a remarkable work ethic and a heart for service. She dedicated 37 years of her life to the Skaalen Nursing Home, working faithfully until her retirement in 2014. A woman of steady faith, she was a longtime member of Covenant Lutheran Church. Those who knew Louise will remember her fondness for travel, country music and the quiet strength she offered her family.

She is survived by her six children: Arlene (Rob Himmelmann) Scalzo, Ardis (Jeff) Duhachek, Audrey Beckwith, Bernard Jeffrey (Kathy) Beckwith, Julie Beckwith, and Joel Beckwith. She is further survived by Grandchildren Andrea, Aaron, Jessica, Ryan, Estrella, Brandon, Laura, Brad, Victor. Also, Great-grandchildren, Caleb, Austin, Lily, Ava, Boston, Rylee, Anthony, Jacob, Dakoda, Hudson, Annabelle, Greyson, Nolan and Milo, and Veeta. In addition, her brother, Ronald (Kathleen) Hermanson and sister-in-law Joyce Hermanson.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Bernard and brother Herman.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at the Skaalen Nursing Home Chapel, 400 N. Morris St., Stoughton, WI, with Pastor Wendy Moen presiding. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the chapel. Louise will be laid to rest at Lutheran South Cemetery. Following the interment, all are welcome to join the family for a lite luncheon in the Friendship Room at Skaalen Home to share memories and celebrate Louise's life.
