Lorraine Fedo

January 6, 1935 — December 26, 2016

Sun Prairie - Lorraine Fedo, age 81, passed away on Monday, December 26th at the U-W Health/American Center, with loved ones by her side. She was a devoted, loving mother, a proud grandmother, and an even prouder great-grandmother. She was born on January 6, 1935 in Rockdale, Illinois, the daughter of Anthony and Agnes Pirc. Lorraine graduated from St. Francis Academy in Joliet, Illinois and worked in retail for many years. On January 7, 1956, Lorraine was united in marriage to Raymond Fedo. They shared 47 years together before Raymond passed away. Together, they had one daughter, Kimberly Rae.
Lorraine touched the lives of many with her kind and gentle ways. Her life was one of grace and dignity, one of random acts of kindness and charity. She was a woman of faith and believed in the power of prayer and forgiveness. Her courage, strength and determination through the course of her illnesses were an inspiration to many. She believed in angels and in miracles. She enjoyed sharing in good times and laughter with friends and in making lasting memories with her grandchildren. Lorraine had a generous spirit, and was someone you could always count on to lend support, encouragement, a helping hand, or some soup. Lorraine believed that each day was a new beginning, and in saying the words, "I Love You," to her family every chance she got.
Lorraine will be lovingly remembered and missed by her daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and David Veith, by her granddaughters, Ashley (Jeffrey) Koopmans and Amber (Austin) Scheib, her great-grandchildren, Phoebe and Jessa Scheib and Clayton Koopmans, and especially by her lifelong dear friend, Shirley Dalman. Lorraine also leaves behind her sister, Nancy Fitzgerald, nieces, nephews, close cousins, and the many wonderful people she called her friends at The Regency.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, her parents, many aunts - who she called friends, uncles, two brothers-in law, a nephew, and several friends, each of whom enriched her life.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 5th at Sacred Hearts of Jesus & Mary in Sun Prairie. There will be a celebration of life gathering in the afternoon at The Regency from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. for friends of Lorraine in the Gathering Room. Those wishing to honor Lorraine, may make a donation in her honor to The American Cancer Society.
