Lorraine Clauer

MADISON-Lorraine M. (Fillbach) Clauer, age 93 passed away at Agrace HospiceCare on Thursday, March 15, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.

Lorraine was born on Jan. 25, 1925, in Monfort, WI at the home of her uncle and aunt, Doctor Harold and Marie Fillbach. In 1948, she married Ernest "Bud" Clauer. She was married to Bud for 52 years until his passing in November of 2000. Lorraine, being a Wisconsin gal, lived in Cobb, Shullsburg, and Madison. She eventually found her way into banking, retiring from 1st Wisconsin National Bank. In retirement, she moved to southern Florida where she enjoyed the warmth and sun. She returned to Madison in 2008 to be near family.

Lorraine is survived by her three children, Randall (Pamela) Clauer, Candace (Tom) Mooney, and Dennis (Mary Beth Loesch) Clauer; seven grandchildren, Kevin Clauer (Norma Holt), Kari (Chad) Lauritsen, Keith Clauer, Ryan (Stefani) Mooney, Megan (Nick) Lane, Tyler Clauer, and Jared Clauer and five great-grandchildren, Gavin, Kelsi, Kubrick, Corgan, and Merric.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 413 Dempsey Road, Madison, Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 11:00 am with Father Randy Timmerman presiding. A time to gather will be held at the church on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of Mass.
