Lorraine Anderson

Lorraine Anderson, age 92 of Madison passed away peacefully on Monday, October 17, 2016. Lorraine was born April 30, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois; she was the daughter to Marcin P. and Stephanie (Glowa) Novak. Lorraine was united in marriage to Kenneth Earl Anderson on June 12, 1948 in Los Angeles, California. Together they raised a daughter.

Lorraine graduated from Alvernia High School and served in the US Navy from 1944 until 1946 as a ship's cook third class. After she served in the Navy, she worked as a comptometer operator and took care of the financial interests of Fred Harvey Restaurants in Chicago. Lorraine's greatest joy in life was being a wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. She enjoyed collecting "Hummel's" and angels. She also had a great willingness to take on any task handed to her.

Lorraine is survived by her husband of 68 years Kenneth; her daughter Karen (Doug) Terhune; her grandchildren Cindy (Ian) Melrose, Jackie (Craig) Burk and Sandy (Ryan) Wilson; her great- grandchildren Maddie, Jersey and Theo Melrose and Truett and Everett Burk. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather Jacob Regner and brother Eugene Novak.

Funeral services will be held at OAKWOOD PRAIRIE RIDGE, TREE OF LIFE CHAPEL, 5565 Tancho Drive, Madison, on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 2:00 pm with Father Ray Dischler and Chaplain Wayne Shannon officiating. A visitation will be held at Oakwood on Saturday from 1:00 pm until the time of services.
