Lori Lynn Gilbert, age 67, passed away at home June 22, 2026 surrounded by her family. She was born January 2, 1959 the daughter of Kenneth and Shirley Peat in Dodgeville. Lori graduated from Poynette High School. Lori was united in marriage to David Gilbert in Madison on January 21, 1977. She worked in the financial field for over 30+ years before retirement.

Lori loved to play cards, especially euchre. You could often find her listening to Motown and working on a puzzle. Lori was a lover of all animals, especially giraffes, pigs, and highland cows.

Lori is survived by her husband David, and her sister Eva Peat. She is also survived by her four leg friends, Peabody and Nemo. She was preceded in death by Kenneth and Shirley Peat, Christopher Gilbert, Warren Kienast, Romona Strahorn, Brian Peat, aunts and uncles, and her beloved Koko and Cody.

Memorial donations in Lori’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
