Loretta Straus

Middleton/Madison - Loretta Amelia Straus, age 103, died on Saturday, November 2, 2013 in Middleton. She was born in Roxbury, WI on July 10, 1910. Loretta was the last remaining child of George and Margaret (Mueller) Uselman. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert F. Straus in 1997 and her eldest granddaughter Jo Ellen Bucaida in 1974. Loretta was a long time member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Madison and the Catholic Women's Club.
Loretta is survived by her daughter Joann Bucaida and a son John R.(Joan) Straus; seven grandchildren, John, Amy (Fred Bauer), Beth (Paul Konopacki), Kurt (Margaret), Kent (Michelle), Kristi (Dave Edwards) and Kari Straus; her great-grandchildren, Morgan and Alec Swanstrom, Jaquilyn, David and Jay Edwards, Gretchen, Eric, Madeline and Zachary Straus, Derek, Jake and Courtney Straus, Frank and Ted Bauer, Michelle and Peter Konopacki, and Sophia Bucaida.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church 401 S. Owen Dr. Madison. Msgr. Kenneth Fiedler will preside. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Madison.
Loretta will be remembered with love by all.
