Loreen Redepenning

Loreen C. "Lori" (Sorum) Redepenning lost her courageous battle with Leukemia on January 4, 2013 at age 58.

Lori was born at Stoughton Hospital on April 14, 1954 the daughter of the late Edmund and Regina (Farr) Sorum. She was raised in Cottage Grove and attended Monona Grove High School and graduated Class of 1972. She was united in marriage to Bill Redepenning on October 21, 1972. Together they had two children, Bill, Jr. and Heather.

Lori worked at the Dane County Clerk's office for 23 years and most recently, the Dane County Veterans Service office. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 59 and was Past President.

They traveled throughout the U.S. and Mexico and just last year went on Lori's dream vacation to Alaska. Lori's hobbies included quilting, craft fairs, antiquing, and shopping. She also enjoyed sharing her special recipes with friends and family.

Lori is survived by her husband Bill; children, Bill, Jr. and Heather; grandson, Sean; brother, Jim (Jule) Sorum; sisters, Mary (Paul Downey) Harbort, Rhonda (Larry) Fautch; mother-in-law, Julie Redepenning; extended family, Linda (Dennis) Buckley, Donna (Royce) Priebusch, Steve Redepenning and Cheryl Redepenning; also many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert.

The world lost a beautiful person. Lori will be missed by all.

A gathering celebrating Lori's life will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at the Stoughton American Legion Post 59, 803 N. Page Street, Stoughton beginning at 12 noon.
