Waunakee: Lois Laura (Wangen) McCamy of Waunakee, Wisconsin, our loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother died on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at the age of 91.
Lois was born November 2, 1924 in Minnesota to the late Eric and Irene Wangen. Lois graduated Fargo Central High School and earned a degree in Home Economics at
North Dakota State University, Fargo, North Dakota. Lois married the late Franklin B. McCamy on June 14, 1947, and they shared 41 wonderful years together. They resided in Fargo ND, Greendale WI, and Lathrup Village MI. Lois had a strong faith and was an active member of the Methodist church. She enjoyed playing golf and bridge, bowling, knitting, needlework and playing the piano. She was a PEO for over 30 years. Lois loved life and had a positive attitude and quick wit. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Lois will be missed by her daughters Mary Pat (Chuck) Koranda of Waunakee, Wisconsin, Nancy (Tim) Albers of Grand Rapids, Michigan and son Michael (Kathleen) McCamy of Saratoga Springs, New York; grandchildren Jennifer (Scott) Estness, Laura (Chris) Knutson, Matthew (Jessica) Albers, John (Julia Gregg) Albers, Jessica McCamy and Zachary McCamy and great grandchildren Brianna and Hailey Estness, Sorin and Malla Knutson and Bennett Albers.
Lois was predeceased by her brother Kendall Wangen and sister Marion Rasmussen.
A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at a later date. Please share your memories.
