Stoughton- Lois Rachel (Homburg) Hagen entered her heavenly home on July 13, 2015. She was born May 24th, 1936 to Violet and Edwin Homburg of Cottage Grove, WI. Mom was caring, compassionate, very generous and giving, she prayed without ceasing in all circumstances, her faith was unshakable and she remained steadfast in adversity and times of trial. Mom was a builder at heart and was naturally inclined to improve and add beauty to her world. She loved music, the outdoors, the farm and gardening. But mostly, she loved her husband Glenn and dedicated her life and years with him to helping him, in sickness and in health, and made it possible for him to stay on the Farm they both loved. Mom also loved dearly her Twin Sister, Louise, her Family, Children, Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren, her friends & neighbors, and her Church Family. She celebrated and 'made special' every Holiday, Birthday, and Special Event. She used her creativity to express encouragement, kindness and thankfulness to others through cards, letters, meals, baked goods, and service to others. Mom had a grateful heart for all of life's blessings and this was her legacy. When asked what the most important thing in life is, she replied: "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved ." She is survived by her daughters, Susan (Bill) Skinner, Sharon (Steve) Castleberg, and Annette (Steve) Bauer all of Stoughton; sons, Mark Hansen of Stoughton and Dean (Carmen) Hansen of Oregon; step children, Dr. Patrick Hagen of Richland Center and Heidi (Troy) Hubing of Stoughton; 19 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Delores (Jean) Selje of Columbus; her brother, Phillipp Homburg of Lake Mills; sisters-in-law, Joan Homburg of Oregon, Margaret (Peg) Homburg of Whitewater and Benja Homburg of O'Fallen, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Marion Homburg; husband, Glenn; daughter, JoAnn Hansen; grandson, Jason Bauer; sister, Clarice Martinson; her twin sister, Louise Williamson; and brothers, Winfred, Marvin and Ralph Homburg. A Celebration of Lois's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 24, 2015 at Christ the King Community Church, 401 W. Main Street, Stoughton, with Rev. Ron Dobie officiating. Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon, immediately following the services, in the church fellowship hall. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 9:30 AM until the time of services Friday at church. Memorials can be made to Christ the King Community Church of Stoughton and Agrace Hospice.
