MADISON - Lois Ruth (Prange) Baggot, age 83, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2016, in Madison. Born October 2, 1932, in Reedsburg the daughter of Arthur and Freida (Meyer) Prange. She married David Baggot on June 29, 1957 in Reedsburg.
Lois was a resident of Madison for 59 years where she retired after 14 years as a fiscal clerk for the Wisconsin Department of Administration. She was a loving wife and wonderful mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother who always had a positive attitude and a smile and kind word for everyone. Lois enjoyed knitting, quilting, camping, gardening, and reading mystery books.
Preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sisters Elaine Trejo and Audrey. She is survived by her children James (Jeanette) Baggot of Menasha, William of Fort Collins, CO, Colleen (Paul) Henson of Portland, OR, and Robert Baggot of Madison. Grandchildren Riley and Jack Baggot and Conor and Sean Henson. Sibling John (Bobbi) Prange of Missoula, MT and leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 19, 2016, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 2121 Rowley Avenue. Memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with prayer service at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 18, 2016, at Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Road in Madison. Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held following the burial at the Elks Lodge, 711 Jenifer Street, Madison.
The family would like to thank her caregivers and the staff at St. Mary's Hospital and Agrace HospiceCare. Memorials may be made to the Cure Alzheimer's Fund or a charity of choice.
