Lloyd Snuffy' Handeland

Stoughton- Lloyd ""Snuffy"" Handeland, age 65, died on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at his home following a lengthy illness.   He was born on May 4, 1945, the son of Carlyle and Evelyn (Evenson) Handeland.   Lloyd enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served for four years.   He was a mechanic for many trailer companies until he retired.   Lloyd is survived by four children, Tammi Ellestad, Jakki Handeland, Amy Jo (Joe) Cross and John Handeland; two grandchildren, Cody Williams and Emma Cross; mother, Evelyn; three sisters, Edythe, Jean and Lois; one brother, Norman; and nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.   He was preceded in death by his father, Carlyle; an infant son, Randall Scott Handeland; and grandparents, Jergen and Thea Handeland and Elmer and Sophie Evenson.   Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 30, 2010 at Olson-Holzhuter-Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton, followed by Military Honors.  Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon following the services at the Stoughton VFW Post 328, 200 Veterans Road.  Friends may greet the family from 10:00 AM until the time of services Monday.
