Linda Marie Miller, age 75, passed away peacefully at Dove Healthcare on October 19, 2025.

She was born on July 31, 1950 in Madison, Wisconsin to Joe “Pucky” and Lenore “Pat” (Jahr) Adkins. She graduated from Madison East high school in Madison, Wisconsin.

She moved to California where she met Michael W. Miller. They married and had 3 boys together. She eventually moved back to Wisconsin where she would raise them in Middleton, Wisconsin. She is known for her adventurous good times she had with her boys. Teaching them how to fish, ski and go camping. Linda always kept her boys busy with sports such as gymnastics, basketball, baseball, swimming, soccer and tennis. She also signed them up for extra activities such as Spanish lessons and music classes. As she once stated “all these activities keep you busy and out of trouble.” Her boys and family were the most important part of her life. Being a single mom was not easy and she sacrificed a lot for her boys.

She had multiple jobs starting with a job at University of Wisconsin Madison in the computer science building. Here she was able to introduce her sons to computers and even check one out to bring home. Later she would move on to the Wisconsin Central Center for the mentally disabled as a nurses aide and care giver. Following retirement she kept busy by volunteering at her church, she never stopped.

Linda followed several religions including Catholicism, Judaism and Christianity. Finally studying Christian Science at the time of death. She wanted to know as many as she could.

Linda is survived by her middle son Christopher Miller and his wife Carlie Miller; her youngest son Justin Miller as well as one grandson; her sister Jackie Manght and brother Joseph Adkins; as well as nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her oldest son Michael “Red” Miller; sisters Vickie Peterson and Jory Dickerson; brothers Morris and Tony Ackerman and her parents Joseph and Lenore Adkins.

A celebration of life will be held at Roselawn Cemetery in Monona, Wisconsin at 2:00 P.M. There will be a lunch to follow at Cress Funeral Home East Washington Madison, Wisconsin at 3:30 P.M.
