Linda Chesney

McFarland- Linda Marlene Chesney, 70, after a lengthy illness passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at UW Hospital, surrounded by family and friends. Linda was born on August 22, 1945 in San Bernardino, California, daughter of the late Marlin and Eugenia "Jean" Offerdahl. She attended college at Cal Poly Pomona, where she met Michael Steven Chesney, they married in 1967. She worked in sales at American T.V. and lately at Brothers Main T.V & Appliance. Linda and Mike were blessed with four children, Mark of Stoughton, Kimberly (Keith) Canady of Canyon Country, California, Kristen Chesney (deceased), and Peggy (Scott) Biederman of Madison. She is survived by her husband Michael Steven Chesney of McFarland, brother, Loren Offerdahl of Apple Valley, California, brother-in-law Jack (Terry) Chesney, sister in-law Patricia Bracken of Duluth, Minnesota. She is also survived by her nine beloved grandchildren; Hayden Chesney, Casey Canady, Ansel Chesney, Jaime Canady, Kristen Canady, Alden Biederman, Sophie Chesney, Cecelia "Cece" Biederman and Chase Chesney and many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by many close relatives & friends. Many, many thanks to all the hospital staff at UW Hospital and Select Specialty Hospital and especially to the UW transplant unit for their exceptional care. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday October 3, 2015 at Christ the King Catholic Church in McFarland with Father D. Stephen Smith presiding. Burial will follow in Upper McFarland Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon reception, following the burial, in the church fellowship hall. Friends may greet the family from 9:30 AM until the time of services at the church on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Linda to the American Diabetes Association.
