Lillian Gutierrez

March 26, 1937 — December 10, 2016

Madison- Beloved mother and spouse, Lillian Bessie Gutierrez, age 79, went to be with her Lord on December 10, 2016 at Kindred Hearts in Cottage Grove. She was born on March 26, 1937 in Sparta, the daughter of George Custer Rockwell and Bessie Darlene Lemon. Lillian was a graduate of Sparta High School. She married Eldon W. Collom in 1955 and together they raise four beautiful children. He preceded her in death. She then married Jesse Gutierrez in Madison in 1970.
Lillian was a stay at home mother before completing the Dental Assistant Course at Yakima Tech. She then worked as a dental assistant, and was employed by the Central Wisconsin Center as an aide for many years. She retired from the Dane County DOT in Madison. In her spare time, she crocheted, drew, and wrote short stories and poems. She loved cats, dogs, chickens, and gardening, but her greatest love was little children; they were precious to her.
Lillian is survived by her spouse; Jessie Gutierrez, her four children; Eldon (Katie), Audrey (Kirby), Edward (Chris), and Aleta Marie, grandchildren; Krystal (Brian), Andrea, and Lisa (Shannon), great-granddaughter; Mia, two sisters; Bessie, and Minnie, and one brother; Roger. She was preceded in death by her parents; George and Bessie Rockwell, brothers; Tom, Henry, and Mark, and sisters; Delores, Rose, and Helen.

Lillian was an amazingly strong woman who loved all and gave all.
