Leroy Kurth

Madison - Leroy M. Kurth, age 60 passed away on Friday, April 28, 2017 at his home with his loving family by his side.

He was born August 5th, 1956 in Darlington, WI, the son of Darwin and Kathryn (Thompson) Kurth. Leroy graduated from Darlington High School in 1974. He was a dedicated employee of W.T. Rogers and finished his career at Madison United Healthcare Linen.

Leroy was an avid Badger, Packer, and Brewer fan. He was a Boy Scout leader with Troop 29 for many years. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

Leroy is survived by the love of his life, Brenda Olson; their three children, Carly (Daniel Baker) Kurth of Madison, Jeff (Angela Winter) Kurth of Waunakee, and Orin (Nichole Quintana) Kurth of Portage; four grandchildren, Madison, Ayla, Rex, and Kendall; three sisters, Mary F. Kurth of Madison, Carol (Edward) Stevenson of Oconomowoc, and Sabra (Dave McNeely) Kurth of Havre de Grace, MD; two brothers, Darwin "Boo" (Debra) Kurth of Hazel Green and David Kurth of Fennimore; five sisters-in-law, Cindy Kurth of Browntown, Linda Olson of Stoughton, Cynthia Dunlap of Stoughton, Karen Olson of Madison and Mary C. Kurth of Darlington; and a three brothers-in-law: Allen (Jean) King of Shullsburg, Thayne "Butch" (Chris) Olson of Madison and Jay (Sue Biba) Olson of Madison.

He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, C. Joseph "Joe" Kurth, James Peter Kurth, John "Jack" Kurth and Timothy Kurth, his sister Kathryn Rose King and dear friend Billy Mitchell.

A Celebration of his Life gathering will be held at the Tenney Park John Wall Pavilion, 402 Thornton Avenue, Madison on Saturday May 27th, 2017 from 12:00 Noon until 5:00 pm
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in memory of Leroy to his grandchildren's education fund that will be established or to a charity of your choice.
