Richgels, Leora Ann

Cross Plains: Leora Ann Richgels, age 94, passed away May 19, 2016. She was born in Highland on May 14, 1922 the daughter of William and Leona (Hudek) Drager. Leora graduated from Highland High School, and married Melvin Richgels July 19, 1947 in Highland. She was employed as a postal clerk in Highland, and later in Cross Plains until her retirement in 1985. Leora enjoyed fishing with her children, crocheting, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She dearly loved her large family, and had just celebrated her 94th birthday with them just 5 days before she passed away.

Leora is survived by her loving children; Leone, John, Jane, Mary (Manuel) Saenz, Jim (Janine), Betty (Ed) Duesterhoeft, Donna Fox, Ken One Peace, and Kathy Fitzsimmons, 18 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Melvin, sons Robert and David, and grandsons Trever, and Tyler.

Visitation will be from 4:30 until 7:00 pm on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at CRESS CENTER, 6021 University Ave., Madison, WI 53705, followed with a memorial service at 7:00 pm. A private burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Leora's name to the charity of your choice. Please share your memories of Leora.
