Madison - Leo G. Ruesch, age 65, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Agrace Hospice Care following a brief and courageous battle with cancer. He was born on February 21, 1949, the son of Fredolin and Dorothea (Briscoe) Ruesch in Madison, Wisconsin. On April 29, 1978, Leo was united in marriage to Mary Ann Volk. For over 40 years, Leo worked for various printing industries until his retirement in March of 2013. His true passion was golfing, but he also enjoyed deer hunting, wood working and tournament fishing.
Leo is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann, three daughters; Cyndi Ruesch, Stephanie (John) Belter and Caty Ruesch, four grandchildren; Kirk, Maddy, Mackenna and Christian, great granddaughter; Skye and five siblings Margaret Ruesch, Rod (Barb) Ruesch, Mary (Kennan) Pomeroy, Martha Ruesch and Dee Dee (Al) Watson. He is also survived by other loving family and friends.
Leo was preceded in death by his parents and his stepdaughter; Wendy Allen.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 413 Dempsey Road, Madison on Monday, March 17, 2014 at 11:00am with Father Randy Timmerman presiding. A visitation will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3325 E. Washington Ave., Madison on Sunday, March 16, 2014 from 2:00pm to 4:00 pm and at the church on Monday, March 17, 2014 from 10:00 am until the time of Mass.
