Laura Felsheim

Farm girl joins her navy boy, Laura Felsheim beloved wife of Clements Felsheim died peacefully on May 12, 2018 surrounded by her family. The daughter of John and Mary Michels was born June 20, 1926 in the Town of Berry, WI. She attended a one room school house where she made many lifelong friends "her 8th grade buddies". Her schooling was limited but her knowledge and talents excelled. Her wit, wisdom and common sense made everyone feel special. If you met her once you were a friend for life. She was known far and wide for her cooking skills, whether for children at Central Wisconsin Center, seniors at Waunakee Manor or the never empty cookie jar at her own home. Laura and Clem were married on April 1, 1948 and raised six children together.

Laura is survived by her children, Larry & Ellen Felsheim, Linda & Glen Coisman, Mark & Kathleen Felsheim, Jane & Chris Gencheff and Julie & Ted Wilson; Daughter-in-Law, Donna Felsheim; her grandchildren Lisa & Diana Hargus, Aaron Felsheim, Michelle & Clay Benish, Tracy & Troy Hietpas, Shyla Coisman, Leah Gencheff & Todd Gretencord, Tarren & Tony Cedillo, Ross Gencheff & Stacy Dvorak, Luke Wilson, Jena Felsheim, Anna Wilson, and Jon Felsheim; nine great-grandchildren; her siblings Regina Ripp, Viola Helt, Norbert and Roslie Michels, Rosalie Michels, Frances Michels-Beuthin; and many other relatives and friends. Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Clem Felsheim; her son, Mike Felsheim, her brother Joseph Michels, and her parents.

Visitation will be from 9:30-11:30 AM on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 209 South Street, Waunakee with a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 11:30 AM. Friends and family will meet at 2:30 PM at Roselawn Memorial Park, 401 Femrite Dr, Monona to bring Laura to her final place of rest.
